The Grand Entrance: Diving Deeper

"I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME"
Jesus (John 14:6)
Every building has an entrance, some are elaborate, some are simple, some are open not even having a door, some are like a vault. In order to access the building and utilize everything that it offers we must find the entrance and we must have access. It is not enough to know where the entrance is, you must have access, you must have the key or the code and have authorization to enter.
Buildings aren't the only thing with entrances... Countries have points of entrance, Kingdoms have points of entrance, they are all a way of governing entrance and occupation. Each scenario requires that you have the "key" for access, and the "credentials" for entry.
Buildings and countries may have several entry points, the Kingdom of God has an entrance also BUT only one! John, arguably Jesus closest earthly friend, tells us something Jesus shared with him so that he could share with everyone else...
"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved!"
Jesus to John (John 10:9)
The heart of every man, woman, and child also has an entrance, a door...
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him"
Jesus (Revelation 3:20)
The human heart is dead bolted and cannot be accessed until the owner of it opens it willingly. Jesus is an absolute gentleman, He NEVER barges in, He will not occupy your heart or come through the door without the authority of receiving an invitation! He politely knocks and waits for the response of the heart's owner...Invite Him in? or ask Him to leave? ... He will honour your decision, as hard as that must be.
If you are going to unlock the door of your heart, be certain is to Jesus and Jesus alone!
There is a battle for your heart! It is prime real estate and it is sought after as a true and precious treasure!
Jesus created and shaped our hearts and wants to dwell there, He will stand at the door and knock without losing patience. So patient, so gentle, so kind...
The enemy of Jesus and the enemy of you tries every manner of breaking into your heart, he did not create it and has no authority to dwell there but he wants to live there because Jesus wants to live there.
Jesus opened the door of heaven wide for you and for me! He did this for us by the finished work of the cross, His death, His resurrection. Upon opening the door of Heaven He comes to knock on the doors of our hearts, and He comes bearing gifts, salvation, and eternal life.
Avoid the temptation to hoard your own heart... don't be defiant to the gentle knocking of Jesus. He comes politely, but don't be fooled by the gentleness, He comes offering to share all that is His... The Kingdom of Heaven!!
Open the door to Jesus now and everyday!!

Next, read the verse a couple of times.
Now, ask these questions:
What does this tell me about God/Jesus?
What does this tell me about people?
How can I respond to what I just read?
When you’re done asking these questions, it’s a great idea to pray and thank God for teaching you more about who He is and who you are!

Pray that the Lord will help us to see Jesus and His Finished Work.
