Life through the Spirit
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
This week Pastor Merodee expanded on the benefit of being "in Christ Jesus". It was a powerful message that kickstarted my imagination on a divine game of Hide and Seek, complete with some perilous risks and unimaginable rewards!
Philippians 3:8-9 tells us that there is a surpassing worth in knowing Jesus and being found in him. The phrase 'surpassing worth' fascinates me... surpassing what? The answer is found in the same verse! When considering everything, everything is as a total loss or even garbage when compared to the benefit of knowing Christ and being found in him. Knowing Jesus and being found in him surpasses all other things so fast and so far that everything else, even gain, is considered loss and garbage.
God finds us in Christ. 'When He looks on me He sees not what I used to be but He sees Jesus' this is beautiful... when the Holy Spirit gives us revelation of this our minds are renewed, our hearts know true love, and our minds are peaceful and rested for the first time. We have endeavoured to hide when all along being found is the will of God.
The other side of this idea is equally liberating and beautiful! You are hidden in Christ!!
Colossians 3:3 reminds us that we have died, our sinful nature crucified with Jesus, our righteous nature resurrected with Jesus.
"For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God."
Our souls have an enemy, Satan. There is a penalty for sin, death.
They SEEK. As a follower of Jesus, you are hidden!! Never to be found! Rest in the hiding place that is Christ Jesus!!
Family! This is amazing news full of JOY and HOPE!
It can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit... Holy Spirit we invite you in all your authority and power to rest on us and dwell in us!

Pray that we would be receptive to the Holy Spirit revelation of being hidden from the enemy while God finds us in the righteousness of Christ
Pray that as we go through this series on life in the Spirit many would receive fresh and powerful encounters with the Spirit. Maybe that is being baptized in the Spirit for the first time, or maybe it is a fresh revelation of the indwelling of the Power of God!
Pray for the influx of souls coming into the Kingdom!
