Living This Life By Faith: Diving Deeper

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;
yet not I,
but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,
who loved me,
and gave himself for me."
Galatians 2:20, KJV
Beloved, when you believed in Jesus there was a mighty deposit from Heaven into your born-again spirit.
A part of that deposit, according to Scripture, is "the faith of the Son of God"!
We are learning in our study of Galatians that Salvation is by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yet even this faith is not a mustering up of our own good works. It is not a human faith which can wax today but wane tomorrow.
When we believe in Jesus the faith of the Son of God (Jesus' faith) is gifted to us!
The faith by which we are now called to live by is given to us a wondrous gift!
Precious One, as one who believes in Jesus, you get to live your life "by the faith of the Son of God".
Your faith in our Heavenly Father might waver and falter but Jesus' faith in the Father is rock solid and secure.
You might wonder if the Father was truly satisfied with the sacrifice of Jesus for every sin, but the Son of God who was raised from the dead is fully confident that the Father IS satisfied!
Doubt may stir in your heart that the Lord will be able to deliver you from bad habits and bring you into Christ-like maturity. Jesus, the Son of God, is fully convinced of the power of God and the gift of Holy Spirit to transform you.
Rejoice with me today, my friend, that the faith which you live by is indeed the very faith of Jesus! Rest in His faith at work in you.
Jesus' faith in the Father is now a proven faith! Jesus went to the cross by faith, but now his faith is realized! The Father has raised Christ Jesus from the dead. He has exalted Jesus and given him the Name above every name. As proof of the potency of the work of Jesus, the Father has given us Holy Spirit.
So today, if your own faith feels weak, tired, cracked or broken, have no fear. The perfect faith of Jesus is given to you.
Thank you Heavenly Father for giving us the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave his life for us! Our faith is weak and fickle but You have given us perfect faith. Wow! Help us to live by the faith of Jesus in all things and in all ways. We know that as we learn to live by Jesus' faith You will be glorified. Amen.
